The company has a unique device (BAMBIT) called a hysteresis transistor. When it is used in a Photointerrupter, a digital signal having hysteresis is obtained as output at 2 terminals. In contrast to the case of a photo transistor, analog-to-digital conversion, for example using a hysteresis comparator, is unnecessary; wiring can be connected directly to the microprocessor digital input port.
